Name: Fredrik Malmberg
Born: 1966 in Skövde, Sweden.
Education: Programme of International Business Administration and Economics specializing in French at the University of Gothenburg.
Languages: Swedish, English and French.
Previous assignments: Fredrik has worked as Head of the Swedish Programme at the Save the Children Fund and as regional representative of the Save the Children Fund in Southern and Central Asia. Before that, he was leader writer at the newspaper Göteborgs-Posten, Chairman of the Liberal Party Youth Club and Chief of Staff for the Liberal Party’s party leader’s office in the Swedish Parliament.
Ombudsman for Children since: November 17, 2008. Appointed by the Government for a six-year period.
